Creating a look that gets noticed isn’t about dressing like a peacock. It is about dressing like a gentleman. The details separate an outfit that is sub-par from one that gets noticed. Why does 007 always standout at a party? It’s not because he’s wearing a different outfit than everyone else; it is because he is wearing it better than anyone else. He owns the details. A navy suit, white shirt and tie can be upgraded with little tweaks and additions. Make sure the suit fits properly; show about ¼”- ½” of shirt cuff; select a collar that works with the proportions of the suit; hold the tie in place with a tie bar; and stuff the breast pocket with a pocket square. These little details help define a look, and they add a touch of sophistication and class.
